Boat trip

The small island of Dilos is located south of Tinos, with its nearby Rinia island. It is an archaeological park. For Ancient Greeks it used to be one of the most sacred places, as Apollo and Artemis were apparently born there.

Alternatively it is easy and quick to organise daily trips to nearby islands: Mykonos, Syros, Paros or Andros.

Wine tasting

Due to the dry, sunny climate that offers the ideal conditions for the cultivation of grapevines, Greece is one of the oldest wine-producing countries. Assyrtiko, Malagousia, Mavrotragano and Avgoustiatis are all varieties that grow locally in Tinos, and the island’s wineries offer up delicious and unique wines, including a number of premium selections.

Some of the best-known wineries include T-Oinos, Volacus and Vaptistis, and a number of them offer the opportunity to organise wine tastings and visits of the wineries.
